You know what? I like to sing. And whistle. I do one of those two things everytime I'm going up or down the stairs here. It may not always be pretty, but sometimes it is, and the rest of the time I really don't care anyways, especially if I'm alone. Because it feels good.
Related story: This morning I serenaded a stranger with a few choice bars of "(They long to be) Close to you." I couldn't tell if she was a student or a janitor taking a break, but I think she was wearing a blue jumper. Damn my Mr. Magoo complex. Regardless, I know I made her day; it was one of those times when I sounded great.
I think random strangers could all use a good serenading every once in a while. It's little things like that which get some people out of bed in the morning, and hell, I might save someone's life with it one day. You know, "Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, if another day goes by where I feel unloved, I think I may just end it all." Then BOOM, a love song. That's power right there. The power to move people, or just give them a chuckle.
